(Feb. 26, 2011 ) The U.S. Coast Guard is assisting a disabled and adrift 432-foot ocean freighter with nine people aboard 70 miles southeast of Nantucket.

(Feb. 26, 2011 ) Spring is surely on the way. Crocuses are popping up in yards around the island, and the first peepers were heard Friday night. Edie Ray reported hearing the chorus of small frogs around 6 p.m. in Miacomet.
